Just a note to say how grateful we are for all of your hard work and input into the wedding week! We honestly had the time of our lives and our vision of relaxation and partying with all of our loved ones totally came to life.

We have so many amazing memories of Paxos and love it even more than before. So many of our friends and family fell in love with the island too. That’s largely owing to your insane organisation skills and helping all our vague plans to fall into place albeit ‘Greek style’.

So a million thank you’s to you and to all of your helpers, friends and suppliers.

It was more than we could of imagined.

Firstly, a massive thank you to Sam for making not just our wedding but our whole Paxos experience unforgettable.

We had visited Paxos for quite a few years and even knowing the island well we were incredibly naive to think we could plan this alone. Sam charmed all our family and friends and proved her worth from day 1 of planning. We had a seamless and stress free run up to our arrival on Paxos, bar one significant surprise when we discovered that i was going to be nearly 8 months pregnant on our wedding day. We were completely reassured to have Sam involved, I work in production so attention to detail and delivering to a budget is something that rarely passes me by, there wasn’t a thing Sam missed. We had 120 guests at peak season and the wedding day and events surrounding our celebrations exceeded all expectations. The mother of the bride was even seen to be sunbathing the day of the wedding!

Thanks to Sam, we discovered new places and made new memories on an island we thought we had fully explored. We are enormously grateful to Sam and will never forget our special few weeks there, very much looking forward to returning with friends and new family members!

My wife and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your tireless efforts in making our vision for our special day come true. With so much to organise and with so much on our minds you really did take all the stress out of planning a wedding, especially one abroad. Every single question, not matter how silly, you were there to answer and you really did make the effort to make us feel special. All of our guests loved the wedding from the beach side blessing, wonderful reception, gorgeous food and traditional Greek dancing. You have helped to give us such amazing memories that we will return to again and again and we hope to visit the island for many more years to come

Sam, we can’t thank you enough for making our wedding day as magical as we’d dreamt it would be!! When we decided that Paxos was the place we wanted to get married we weren’t sure how to start the ball rolling and you were highly recommended by friends on the island, so we arranged a meeting and you took over from there! With just over six months to plan the day we couldn’t have done it without your help. From organising menus & table plans, arranging our fabulous reception on the Marco Polo to sourcing the lovely vicar Marie who blessed our marriage in front of our family and friends in the most magnificent setting imaginable at Erimitis - a huge thank you to Martha and her team. On the lead up to the wedding and the day itself from the hairdressers, photographers and of course your wonderful assistant, Sue, everybody was so professional and helpful and ensured the day was just perfect! Looking back, it was truly a day that we will treasure always. Thank you so much Beth & Gavin x x

From the moment we first saw Sam’s website and contacted her everything just clicked into place. Sam knows what needs to be done, in what order and you can leave it to her to organise it. You only have to have a chat with Sam in one of the harbour cafés to realise she knows, and is liked, by everybody on the Island. If you have a specific idea of what you would like for your wedding ,Sam has the contacts to make it happen.

Everything was organised in Paxos style, laid back, but sorted, just how we imagined it would be!

We would not change anything about our wedding.

If you want an idyllic wedding , book a villa with Stuart (Sam’s partner), book a wedding with Sam , turn up and enjoy it .

We would recommend Sam without hesitation and with pleasure.

We don’t really know where to start, our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be, filled with love, laughs and a couple of tears. We would really like to thank Sam and Stu for making our day so special and stress free. Our event planning skills are non-existent so from the start Sam was there to help and guide us through the whole process. We were both quite stressed when arriving in Paxos from all the build up, Sam and Stu brought a very relaxed atmosphere which calmed us both!

Our wedding day was magical from the Greek band at the beautiful villa to our taxi drivers family throwing rice on the car to Ben’s Bar, just perfect.

A few of our guests are already planning their return next year and so are we! Thank you both!

We would like to say a big thank you to Sam and Stuart for the professional services they provided when assisting us with the arrangements for our wedding. From initial contact to the final signing of the documents, communication was prompt and accurate. Sam and Stuart know the local suppliers and officials personally and can arrange anything required. Our marriage was a simple affair which only required assistance with the documents and Greek authorities which was utterly painless with their guidance and local knowledge. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Paxos Weddings for all your wedding requirements on Paxos. Thank you again Sam and Stuart it was a pleasure to meet you both.

At the beginning we planned a big wedding in Sweden, but suddenly realized that it wasn´t what we really wanted. Instead we started to talk about having the wedding on Paxos, which we had visited a couples of years earlier. We got in contact with Sam and Stuart 6 months before the wedding and it immediately felt like these are the people that we want to trust with our wedding. We had hundreds of questions but we always got great answers and a smile back. All the guests loved our wedding and thought it was very romantic, beautiful and probably one of the best parties ever. The setting on Mongonissi together with the family who runs it was fantastic. We are so glad that we found Sam and Stuart, thank you for everything!!!

Sam (aka wedding fairy) and Stuart were great from beginning to end from our first conversation to spending an hour or so with them a few days after the wedding. A couple that really aims to please and goes the extra mile to make it perfect and are interested in you.

We had a fabulous well planned out day, to the point I actually felt like I was turning up to someone else’s wedding! The setting and the attention detail was second to none, our family and family were bowled over by the setting at Mongonissi, the food, flowers, Greek dancers it was all so well thought through.

Sam and Stuart you are great at what you do and we wish you many more years of success! WE WILL BE BACK!

We want to thank Samantha and Stuart for all the effort, generosity and eye for details while planning our three day wedding and previous bachelorette party in July 2016. Their high level of professionalism in combination with their genuine and lovely personalities made us and our 100 wedding guests feel relaxed and well cared for. Thank you for making it the most magical experience ever! Our wedding exceeded all our dreams and expectations and will never in our life be forgotten. 01st July, 2016

We got engaged at the Taj Mahal on the 10th of November 2015. We were planning to get married on our 10-year anniversary in October 2018. After several conversations with pretty useless venues in the UK, accompanied by extortionate prices we changed our minds. We started to seriously discuss our pipe dream of getting married in Paxos (pretty certain something would come to trip us up!), we then decided to get married on our holiday, 8 weeks before we were due to leave!

So that’s where Sam and Stuart came to our rescue! That evening we found the Paxos wedding website and sent through an email of interest. We had decided it would be a good idea to have a wedding planner on the island to help us with the local preparation, organisation and logistics (considering our complete lack of Greek!). We sent the email on Friday evening and by Saturday morning Sam had already emailed back and was just as excited as us that we were getting married in just 8 weeks. From that point onwards she and Stuart were hugely supportive, giving us options of what was available and guidance for how previous weddings had worked well. We were free to design the day completely as we chose; nothing was too difficult for them to do – the whole experience was so easy and stress free – people couldn’t believe how relaxed we were especially considering the time scales.

The communication we had from Sam and Stuart was first class! So much better than anything we had experienced in the UK. During the week leading up to the wedding they introduced us to everyone involved; the florist, photographer, venue, registrar and even the mayor. They were so accommodating even when we added 2 more people to the wedding and decided we needed help transporting everyone around the island! (We thought they were joking went hey said there are only 5 taxis on the island . . .).

The day itself was perfect. We would not have changed a single thing. Spiros’ photos were so beautiful: natural and captured the joy shared by all the guests throughout the day. Ben’s bar was fantastic; the food tasted wonderful and they lit small bonfires on the beach – a truly beautiful setting to end an incredible day.

We can’t explain how much we would recommend Sam and Stuart. They made our dream possible and without them it wouldn’t have become a reality.

We got engaged on our second trip to Paxos in May 2015, and knew in our hearts that Paxos was the place where we wanted to celebrate our marriage with our family and friends.

We met with Sam and Stuart right after our engagement and in the following months we slowly put together plans for our dream wedding. Sam was supportive and promptly replied to every email we sent, with our numerous questions and ideas.

We knew a wedding was a slight risk with the weather (towards the end of May, the weather is still settling down for the summer in Paxos), but we believed that the fewer numbers of visitors to the island at that time of year, together with the magical emergence of fireflies in the groves every evening would be worth the risk. We were right in every respect! The wedding had been scheduled for Friday 20th May and every forecast invariably predicted perfect weather for everyday leading up to the celebration, and a washout on the day itself. Nothing had changed by Wednesday morning, so we (Sam, Stuart and the two of us) all agreed to move the wedding to Thursday. A day early at a day’s notice. We don’t think there are many wedding destinations in the world that allow you that degree of flexibility! Sam and Stuart had checked with everybody involved in our wedding in advance whether it would be possible to move it, and they were all incredibly flexible, ensuring we still were able to have the day we had envisioned.

We held our ceremony in the Daughter’s field, a picturesque olive grove with an old ruin serving as an entrance, elegantly decorated by Sam and Spyros of Taxidi Bar. Spyros also provided guests with Prosecco and the most delicious fresh lemonade after the ceremony. Stuart was always at hand, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Our reception was held a 20 minute walk from the ceremony at the Mongonissi Taverna at the southern tip of Paxos. Theo, the owner, and the staff were so generous and we had the most delicious meal. Sam had decorated everything beautifully, right down to the elegant lanterns hanging from the olive trees and the beautiful array of handpicked flowers from her garden laid at each table place. Mongonissi were incredibly flexible and allowed us to have our friends’ band play and DJ until the early hours, and even surprised us with fireworks immediately after our first dance. All of our guests and the staff had a great time. Sam and Stuart stayed right up until the end, making sure every bit of our day went to plan.

Sam helped us find accommodation so that the wedding party and the band could all stay together at Santa Marina Villas. It was the perfect place for us all to get ready for the wedding together and Olga and Maria made us all feel so relaxed and welcome on the day.

There are not many brides and grooms who could say that they had a stress free wedding, particularly not many ones who would say that after having to move their wedding 24 hours ahead of time, but we both can honestly say that we had the best day ever and we enjoyed every minute of it. All of our 65 guests have also been telling us that it was a magical day and one of the best weddings they have ever been to. It’s all thanks to Sam, Stuart and all of the locals whose generosity and attention to detail made our wedding everything we hoped it to be and more.

Both Sam and her partner Stuart were an absolute dream helping to arrange our wedding party on Paxos. Having spent many an enjoyable hour sitting in a taverna with them making plans we felt complete trust in them. Samantha is thoughtful, open to ideas and accommodating - and to boot she is great fun too and all the men in our party fell in love with her!

We had a very simple ceremony in the beautiful gardens of our studio in Lakka followed by us all walking to the harbour where we had a boat ride round the headland to Bens Bar where we had a party of a lifetime! Sam had understood us so well. She knew we didn’t want anything too fancy or fussy and the tables for the meal were just perfect - dressed with white tablecloths and scattered with pink bouganvilla and blue plumbago that looked so unbelievably understated, romantic and beautiful. The food was incredible…. the most delicious array of starters with lamb and chicken on the spit and stuffed tomatoes and the wine was copious. Music, beach fires and dancing carried us through the evening and all our 43 guests said it had been not only the most amazing evening ever but the best holiday too. Stuart, was the man behind the scenes on the day and was discrete and very organised making sure everything ran smoothly.

We felt so comfortable with both Sam and Stuart and look forward to seeing them again next year as friends. They are a brilliant couple and if you want the most magical wedding day ever then we cannot recommend them more highly

From the moment we were welcomed by Sam, with champagne and smiles, on the beautiful island of Paxos, we knew this was going to be a wonderful experience and our perfect wedding destination. Sam and Stu worked tirelessly to ensure that all aspects of the wedding ran smoothly, be that the legal requirements, or the organisation of the ceremony and celebrations. They were there throughout and made this an unforgettable experience for ourselves, our family and friends. We will always be grateful.

We chose Sam and Stuart to plan our wedding after going to our friends wedding in Paxos that they organised. We booked our wedding after arriving home and the next year was spent speaking to Sam about how I wanted our day. Sam managed to get everything absolutely perfect for us, we sent her images of special things we would like and she found them on the island. We had our reception at Bens bar and it was fantastic, all 48 guests enjoyed the whole day and many said it was the best wedding they had been too. It was hassle free all thanks to Sam and Stuart and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

How do we begin to thank you both for the amazing Wedding experience you gave Jolyon, Jessica and their guests, which Jolyon exclaimed was the “best day of his life”.
The venue for the ceremony at Daughter’s Field, entering through a ruin into an olive grove, was magical and proved to be even better than we had possibly imagined.
Theo’s Taverna at Mongonissi was a great choice and we were delighted with every aspect, from the decorations to the welcome, to the wedding feast, to the music, to the dancing, the whole evening was utterly fantastic. The boat trip across the bay for the Bride and Groom, the firework display and all the other little extra touches also helped to make this a truly memorable occasion.
Elements such as transport, flowers, photography and cake were all expertly provided by various individuals on the Island and integrated into the proceedings without a hitch!
Your personal care and attention to detail were second to none, an altogether incredible experience, thoroughly enjoyed by all, leaving us with lasting memories for years to come.
Our thanks again

With our love,

Once we had decided that we really wanted a nice quiet wedding somewhere hot an internet search came up with Paxos and as we had visited two years previously and loved it the idea was planted. From the moment that we spoke to Sam she basically gave us a blank canvas for our wedding day and no idea seemed to phase her. Once we arrived on Paxos she and Stuart made us feel really relaxed and our actual wedding day was everything we could of wished for. It all went exactly to plan and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more as the photos show. We would really like to thank them both for all that they did to make our day so special.

We got engaged on a beautiful beach in Lakka in 2011. From this moment we were inspired to be able to share our special day on the beautiful island of Paxos with our family and friends.

Sam and Stu were warm and kind from the moment we met them in 2012. We immediately felt genuine warmth that helped us to feel comfortable to plan our wedding day from the UK. This communication remained until the day we were returning home from Paxos.

We had a few days to settle in Paxos before the wedding. Sam was there to meet us at the port and appeared at every moment that was needed. Stuart was always around to offer his support and advice. Sam has a calm and positive aura that really allowed everyone to feel relaxed and happy.

Our wedding began at Taxidi bar in Loggos and our ceremony and reception was at Bens Bar on Monodendri beach. Ben and his family were so warm and welcoming. They provided us all with a magical evening. The food was delicious and the décor and setting made our day a moment we will never forget. We are so grateful for this experience it was above and beyond our wildest dreams!

Where do we start other than Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

From an initial phone call to Sam in early May to a late night call from Stu before leaving Paxos helpfully advising of a last minute ferry change, both Sam and Stu’s professional yet extremely personable approach allowed us to relax and enjoy what was a truly memorable wedding for the bride, groom and entire wedding party.

We had seen and heard great things about the island from family and friends, however, having not set foot on Paxos before and without an opportunity to visit before the big day, we did not give Sam much guidance or time to organise!

In just four months and with the help of her local and UK based contacts Sam worked her magic and arranged the perfect day for us. No question or query along the way (and there were many!) was too much trouble and with Stu’s help on accommodation and transport, all our guests had not only a wonderful day but an unforgettable week on Paxos.

The local suppliers were excellent - flowers, decoration, photography, transport, catering and hair/make-up for the ladies, not forgetting Theo and his family for our fantastic reception at Mongonissi.

Sam and Stu have a unique ability to attend to every detail on the day whilst at the same time being entirely unobtrusive, creating a truly relaxed atmosphere. It was exactly what we were looking for and enabled us to simply enjoy every minute of our wedding day.

We both just wanted to say a huge thank you to Sam and Stu for what was an amazing 2 weeks and a beautiful wedding. Having travelled to Paxos on numerous occasions as a child I honestly didn’t think that any wedding could meet our rather idealised expectations of a wedding there but Sam and Stu went above and beyond in every single aspect. After meeting with them last year in Gaios as a (very) newly engaged couple they instantly created an excellent impression and their experience of doing this shone through straight away. We were lucky enough to have a look at various venues whilst on holiday that they recommended but it was only when we hired a boat to take a look at Ben’s Bar on Monodendri beach that we both knew we had found our venue and could begin planning.

Over the next few months in the UK they both provided an extremely tailored and bespoke service that made us feel like we were their only client and as our stress levels went up the level of service and attention to detail only got better. Lisa had pretty fixed ideas, but to have a couple who live on the island and can run us through the practicalities and limitations of what we can and can’t do helped enormously and we quickly started relaxing and building up a picture of just how good it was going to be.

Upon arriving they were always available on emails dealing with the smallest things and we met with them a number of times to go over the details and as every meeting was done in view of the sea with a glass of wine in hand they were always something we looked forward to. They obviously have strong relationships with their suppliers and it’s nice to hear that everyone has come across them in some capacity from Ben to the boat hire people and most people in between so it was unsurprising when the wedding went off perfectly to plan.

The boat trip they organised, was perfect and everyone had a boozy afternoon of chatting and swimming on a beautifully decorated boat. The reception itself was a beautiful evening with amazing food in a stunning location. Ben had decorated the place perfectly and the food cooked by his mother was both rustic and delicious and perfectly Greek. In fact it turned out to be our best meal of the whole two weeks.

Needless to say we were very sad to leave but we are constantly reminded of just how special it was, as every time we bump into our guests they tell us it was not only the best wedding ever but their best holiday ever !! Thank you Sam and Stu for showcasing the island I fell in love with all those years ago and for going beyond our wildest dreams in making that day the happiest day of our lives. You’re worth your weight in gold!

Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to Stuart and Sam for making our big day everything I had imagined it to be ….AND MORE, we will remember you forever!!

When we initially decided to get married abroad, we knew that we wanted to have our wedding in the Greek islands.
I love the laid back atmosphere, beautiful scenery, gorgeous warm weather and have always found the Greek people very accommodating, passionate and friendly.

Initially, I was worried about how it would all come together and ‘flow’ into a beautiful day. It seemed a bit of minefield trying to organise all the smaller detail that we felt would make our day unique and special to us.

Once we had chosen Paxos as our wedding destination the rest just seemed to fall into place. I am so pleased I chose this island, it is authentically stunning.
I got in touch with Sam, who rang me within minutes from Greece and explained to me in great detail how everything would work. She went on to answer my one hundred and one questions, and I never once felt a nuisance in doing so.

Sam was so organised and showed great empathy in organising our day.
I had 35 guests and every single one of them were mesmerised with the scenery and attention to detail.
Infact a couple who joined us at our wedding came home and booked the same thing for themselves next year!!!
The food was amazing, the boat trip was a dream, and the venue was out of this world.

Everything was taken care of and I was made to feel like a Greek goddess by every single person Sam introduced me too.

Thank you and so much more. I think if my whole wedding party could get married again they would have exactly as we did.

You are amazing and if anybody is after magic, it comes naturally to these two!!!

Love to you both.

Our wedding on Paxos was an amazing fairy tale. Absolutely perfect but it would never have happened without Sam and Stu.

I had visited Paxos several times and the island had always been a special place for my family. My first holiday with Ray was to Paxos and when we decided to get married we couldn’t think of a better place.

Sam made everything so easy. We communicated by email and she always replied promptly and helpfully. We had some ideas of how we wanted the day to be and Sam gently pointed us in the right direction whilst making our dreams come true.

Everything was wonderful - the flowers were more than perfect - we had only sent Sam a few small pictures of the sort of bouquets and button holes we liked with a brief description. When she brought them to our villa on the morning of the wedding I couldn’t believe how lovely they were and just what I wanted - so very, very pretty.

From the minute we were all picked up everything ran so smoothly - the ceremony in Gaios, the boat that took us to Loggos (of course we had to have Mamma Mia playing) the reception at the Roxy Bar where we said our vows to back on the boat to Bens Bar for the main reception.

The “sparkly” wine that Sam assured me would be fine certainly was!!

The Roxy Bar was perfect in every way and just what we wanted. Sam and Stu had taken care of all the details.

Ben’s Bar was fantastic as were Efi and Ben. Efi produced a wonderful feast, the food was fresh and absolutely delicious - and so much of it!! After we had eaten we went down to the bar where Ben played music he had chosen for us and we drank many of his Cuba Libre’s.

We would recommend Bens Bar to everyone.

Paxos plus Sam and Stu - perfect combination for a perfect Greek Wedding.

Coming out to meet you in October 2012 for a long weekend was exciting but also a little scary having only had one phone conversation and exchanged a few emails but from the moment we arrived everything seemed to go swimmingly. Meeting us at the port, you were both unreservedly warm and welcoming and the island was just as beautiful as we had remembered. Soon realising that you both knew virtually every supplier on the island, your local knowledge was exceptional and our wedding could be as unique as we wanted, we knew without doubt you would be the people to organise our special day.

So nine months of emailing back and forth ensued. We were always made to feel like we were a priority and that we were well looked after with any ideas, queries or decision jitters we had. Every email was responded to in a timely and assertive manner.

We used your contact to deal with the legal side of the marriage in the UK, she delivered to time and was just one of a whole host of suppliers we must thank who through you helped to make sure our day was totally unforgettable.

The reading was conducted with warmth and charm, the caterer’s produced delicious peach Bellini’s and canapés to a high standard. The hairdresser was sweet and very accommodating; along with her team ensuring 7 ladies had great hair in good time (in spite of a few power cuts).

The florist sourced exactly what we were after (despite a fairly vague brief) and made our amazing flower arch from scratch on the day. The boat trip went exactly to plan surprising our family and friends by sailing around the island and through Gaios with a drink in hand and our favourite tunes playing was so much fun. It’s a fantastic memory we will never forget.

Theo and his team at the wedding reception gave us an authentic, tasty and huge wedding feast with more jugs of wine than the 43 of us could even attempt to try and drink!

The band was fab in spite of our concern that we hadn’t listened to them beforehand, just as you had assured us they would be. Theo’s gorgeous venue beside the sea and the party as a whole just felt dream like, it was even better than we imagined it would be, all thanks to all your preparations and effort.

We certainly felt none of the pressure and last minute stress that I’m sure a more traditional wedding bride and groom feel.

Nothing was ever too much trouble and we truly felt you both went that extra mile for us during our entire stay on the island. Delaying the hydrofoil, arranging for our brother in law to use the caterer’s kitchen to make our wedding cake, finding dentists and dealing with the mayor’s office are all examples.

Along with our families we both had super high expectations of what we wanted for our wedding weekend and we certainly didn’t go to Paxos with the mindset that we would have to compromise on anything just because it was abroad. Thanks to you guys we didn’t have to.

Paxos will always have a very special place in our hearts, thank you again for the most wonderful wedding weekend you helped arrange for us.

We would like to thank you both so much for your efforts in arranging our wedding. Sam was absolutely brilliant in organising the day and responding to all of our email queries. We had a number of friends organising weddings around the same time and can honestly say that, having left all of our ‘wedmin’ in your careful hands, we were the most relaxed couple by far.

We appreciate that ferrying 50 guests from, and back to, mainland Greece for the day was no mean feat and we were extremely grateful to the captain and crew of the Despina for all their efforts, including the beautiful decorations on the boat.

The ceremony on the beach was exactly what we had in mind, from the Greek band who played beautifully, to Ada’s fabulous smiley reading. So many of our guests have commented on what a great job Ada did.

Ben’s Bar has been a favourite place of ours since we first visited Monodendri years ago and Ben and Efi could not have made the day any more special. The decorations were beautiful and the food was in abundance and tasted amazing, we are still kicking ourselves for not asking for a doggy bag! We had a fantastic time dancing the night away with our nearest and dearest fuelled by Ben’s fabulous cocktails!

All in all, you managed to capture the laid back party atmosphere we had hoped for and far far more. Quite simply the best day ever!

Our wedding in Paxos exceeded all our expectations and those of all of our guests. Paxos has gone from a place where we used to holiday to a place where we have friends and memories of the best few days of our lives. None of it would have been possible without Sam and Stuart who held our hands every step of the way, from braving the Greek legal system to the magic and romance of amazing locations, food, music and atmosphere. They made things effortless for us, and that relaxed atmosphere reached into every aspect of our wedding, which was very important to us. But as well as doing a great and professional job, what we were most impressed by was what a genuine couple they were, who take great care, attention and personal interest in what they do. We will be eternally grateful to them and will always look forward to seeing them in Paxos.

My husband and I don’t know where to start about Paxos Weddings and Sam! Our wedding was quite literally a dream come true, even writing this I have tears in my eyes, as we would both love to do it all over again!

Let me start by saying I was not the easiest bride to deal with. However, Sam was patient, good humoured, calm and professional at all times!

I emailed Sam 6 months prior to our wedding to get the ball rolling and from the very first email, to still being there at 1am on the wedding day, she guided us with great care and attention to detail. It’s obvious after speaking to local suppliers that Sam really, really cares about her couples and wants to create a personal, tailor-made wedding for each client.

I tried to control everything from the UK, down to the last minute detail, but this was a waste of time and energy as Sam had absolutely everything in hand. Neither my husband or I had met Stu. However, he seemed to know exactly what we wanted and to see his calm face as I approached the olive grove was priceless and made me feel instantly relaxed.

That brings me on to the olive grove where our ceremony took place. All I can say is ‘woooooooow’. It was the most beautiful, romantic and atmospheric spot I have ever been to. Our guests were silenced by its loveliness and tranquility. The artistic Spiro Taxidi transformed the area into a magical oasis and words can’t describe how magnificent it was.

Our reception was held at Ben’s Bar on the picture postcard Monedendri beach and once again, Spiro, Ben and Sam transformed the decking area into a cool, laid-back, stylish venue. Spiro even scattered flowers on the floor so when people stepped on them they would smell their wonderful scent - that is attention to detail! Ben certainly knows how to get a party started and our friends and family danced and drank til the wee hours, whilst looking out to the twinkling lights of the mainland… heaven!!

Every single one of Sam’s suppliers are exceptional. Eleni the local hairdresser is better than any hairdresser in the UK! I gave Sam a small brief for my bouquet and again, the result was stunning and exactly what I had in mind. Manos the guitarist is a true gem and created an amazing atmosphere, both in the olive grove and throughout dinner.

Writing all this fills me with emotion and puts a huge smile on my face, as I realise just how lucky my husband and I were to have discovered Paxos and to have found Sam. We had the best day of our lives. Everything I wanted Sam delivered with grace and good humour. Both Dan and I want to thank her from the bottom of our hearts.

To sum it up, our day was magical. Not a cloud in the sky, with 50 of our nearest and dearest around us. It really was the perfect start to a long and happy life together.

Greece is our favourite holiday destination, with friendly, genuine, hospitable people, wonderfully home cooked cuisine and guaranteed sunny, hot weather, the only dilemma was… Where in Greece shall we spend 3 weeks for our holiday, wedding and honeymoon! After a little research and tour companies failing to respond to our enquiries we stumbled across Paxos, having never been before the pictures looked stunning, small, peaceful and perfect. We were put in touch with Sam and Stu who were prompt, professional and accommodating from the word “GO”.

With emails back and forth and a few pre wedding meetings on the run up to our day it all fell into place with ease, trusting Sam & Stu explicitly as they knew exactly what we wanted. The day was about “the two of us” and with no family and friends attending that is exactly what we got. After a private ceremony and an exchange of vows we whisked ourselves away for the afternoon on a speedboat and with a champagne picnic to follow what more could you ask for. Sam & Stu met our every needs and we both wish them well with their wonderful life and future in Paxos - one day I am sure our paths will cross as we fell in love with Paxos, the people and the relaxed way of island life.

After being together for 16 years, the time felt right for us to get married. We had visited Paxos some five years earlier and loved the island, so we had no worries about the location.
One day we googled, getting married in Paxos and stumbled across Sam and Stu’s website. Immediately excited by the information and gallery we sent off an enquiry form with a proposed wedding date, thinking nothing would come of it.
An email was sent back promptly from Sam and we quickly hooked up and spoke over the phone. During this conversation we talked over ideas for the day and it just felt magical, we fixed the date and the planning started. I immediately felt able to trust Sam, despite family members thinking we would get scammed he he.
On deciding to get married in Paxos was immensely exciting and we decided to keep events of the day a surprise for our guests, very hard when you cant keep secrets.

With Stu’s support and patience we fixed everyone up with the most fabulous accommodation and the best location, Loggos. He also guided us with which flights to book so that we could arrive in time for the Flying Dolphin transfer.

In the time leading up to the wedding Sam guided us through the whole process, I can genuinely say we did not get stressed at any point. She gently filters informations and decisions to be made through in emails leading up to the big day so we never felt overwhelmed or panicked once.
She always gave guidance and despite my 100’s of emails she always responded quickly, professionally and was warm in her response.

When we arrived in Paxos and meet Sam and Stu at the Port , it felt like we were old friends. We immediately felt they were easy going, genuine people, a rare find.

Everything in the lead up to the big day was fabulously organised, it was relaxed and fun. We were able to enjoy our holiday prior to the big day. We met a few times to go over details, met some of the contacts for the day, but felt totally at ease due to the relationship Sam and Stu had with these people.

Our day was magical and exceeded all our expectations. It is hard to put into words but we felt a feeling of warmth and joy from our day and to see our family and friends faces was unforgettable, and something we will cherish forever.

Paxos island fills you with love, the people that we meet along the way will stay in our hearts forever, Kostas, Tolis, Afroula and Co, Lefko and Yannis.

All of our family and friends fell in love with Paxos and its charm and are already booking up return holidays for next year.

Sam and Stu were an amazing find. Our wedding and honeymoon would not have been what it was without them. So we owe them sincere gratitude and love.
We feel very lucky for being able to marry on Paxos island and all the memories we have from that 3 week period of our lives.

We wish Sam and Stu ongoing success in they’re life and business.

Big love Liv and Lee

After looking at various venues in the UK and booking our wedding day, we went on a holiday to Paxos. Having had a fantastic few weeks we arrived home and decided to cancel our plans for a UK wedding and get married over there! We came across “Paxos Weddings” and everything soon fell into place. Sam and Stuart were fantastic, they understood immediately that we wanted a really laid back day, and completely reassured us that they were able to provide that.

We spoke with them several times before arriving on the island; emails were always replied to promptly and their knowledge of Paxos is unsurpassed. From advice about the documents we needed down to who could provide canapés, they always had the answers.

The BIG plus point for us when using Paxos Weddings were their contacts on the island. Four days before our wedding day an unseasonal rainstorm was forecast. We had a pre-arranged meeting with Sam and Stu and before we could even ask their advice they had the solution. They’d already made plans for our day to be moved forward by 24 hours to miss the storm and had arranged it with the Town Hall/all the different suppliers, if that was ok with us!

Their flexibility and resourcefulness was also evident on the day itself. Originally we had been planning to hold the Reception at our villa; as intermittent rain was forecast, however, Sam suggested that we instead hold this at the restaurant run by the caterers (Carnayo). This worked perfectly; Sam and the team at Carnayo transformed the restaurant into the most amazing setting.

In short, we cannot thank Sam and Stu enough. We had the most wonderful, stress-free wedding we had dreamed of. Without them it could quite literally have been a washout!

31st August, 2012

Having fallen in love with Paxos on our first visit in 2009 we immediately knew the island would be the perfect setting for our wedding after we became engaged last year.

We first met Stu in Paxos on that first visit, when he assured two quite jaded travellers that there really wasn’t anywhere else quite like the small Ionian island. Not only was he right - we’ve been back three times in the last three years - but we also saw him and Sam in action when they organised a wedding in Loggos that we both wanted to join in it looked like so much fun. As a result we met them both in a rainy London in November 2011 to discuss options for our own celebrations. It was great to find out about potential venues and suppliers for the big day and we never once felt that Sam or Stu were trying to broker any set format for the wedding - they just asked lots about what we were looking for and what we hoped the day would be like. It’s Sam and Stu’s knowledge of (and love for) the island that really sets them apart from any other wedding planning service. We knew instantly that we were in safe hands.

Sam’s sterling work in identifying the right place for us and liaising with local landowners ended up with us having the perfect setting. After looking at her photos, we chose a stunning grove in the north of the island - when we arrived in Paxos this past August and saw it in person for the first time we were both overcome with emotion - it could not have been more beautiful. The ever helpful Spiro was on hand to work with Sam and Stu in turning an ancient olive grove into the most wonderful setting, using only the finest touches.

In line with our desire to have a relaxed, intimate reception Stu secured the Villa Mouzmouli for us as both lodging and venue. It provided the perfect setting and the exquisite views (and the perfectly placed new moon!) had guests literally gasping in amazement as they arrived. The table settings were stunning and the catering was authentic and brilliantly done. We put a lot of trust in Sam’s relationships with her suppliers and we were not let down in any way.

Being more than a little bit of a control freak, and a project manager for a living, I have no doubt that I wasn’t the easiest bride to deal with - especially when so much is done via email and not in person. I did a lot of micro-management of small details and my demands were met with patience, compromise and a lot of good humour. When we arrived, and for the week before the big day, Sam and Stu were always at the end of the phone for the smallest matter, talking me off a ledge when half our guests were stranded on Corfu overnight due to the high winds and my stress levels went through the roof!, and organising transport for everyone for the night before the wedding and the day itself. Sam and Stu were with us for the entire day and evening, Stu even driving me the last few hundred yards to the olive grove on the rocky path that the Mercedes couldn’t get up, and at the end of the night when our guests were all in the pool and no-one was leaving, he managed everything with grace and good humour.

We had a truly magical wedding and it wouldn’t have been possible without the fantastic partnership of Sam and Stu. We hope they know how grateful we are for their time, dedication and unending efforts to make sure we had the best day of our lives - and we’re already looking forward to catching up with them on our next visit to Paxos.

We would like to say a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ for helping to make our silver wedding such a perfect occasion.
From the first emails, your approach was spot on; professional, knowledgeable and personal. You pre-empted every little detail, consulted us and then ‘simply’ organised it.
Some of you reading this might wonder why after 25 years, did we do it all again? Basically, at the alter in 1987, Gary was not allowed to kiss the bride! Also following tradition, I did not make a speech at the wedding breakfast. Both things we rectified 25 years to the day on a little boat off the waters of Paxos.
Ada conducted the ceremony beautifully with great meaning to what she was saying. Stu was in the background on the boat just making sure all was well. Ioanna served delicious canapés and plenty of pink champagne whilst Sam organised pretty much everything else, all in an unobtrusive, unflustered fashion. (Flowers, transfers, taxis, pebbles, decoration, restaurant, photographer, car, tourist information and even lacing up my dress!)
The day was wonderful, and the most important thing was that our family were there to celebrate with us. It was everything and more that we both had hoped for, with memories to last for the next 25 years!
Paxos is a beautiful, relaxed, charming island; a perfect wedding venue and, if you will excuse the pun, Sam and Stu, you are the icing on the cake (which, by the way, was delicious!)
Many many thanks

I think asking Sam and Stu to organise our wedding was the best decision we could have made.
I had holidayed in Paxos about 12 years ago and had always planned to return, so when we found Paxos Weddings it seemed ideal. As we have two young boys life seemed far too hectic to organise a wedding but it really couldn’t have been easier with Sam and Stu. From the first time we spoke to Sam on the phone we felt confident that she would be able to make our day work for our family.
We had a week before the wedding to get to know the island, to meet Sam and Stu and to make a few final decisions (the most stressful thing was deciding what shape to have the cake!). A couple of days before the wedding we ate at the stunning Erimitis restaurant on the cliff top and watched the sun set beyond the cliffs. That was another brilliant icebreaking idea for the family and friends from Sam and Stu.
The whole wedding day was really special. We strolled into the beautifully sleepy Loggos from our apartments and boarded the Lefcothea which took us to the island of Kaltonissi in the south. Moored by a lovely little church, Ada conducted the ceremony with great warmth as Stu and Ioanna stood by with the Prosecco and canapés. When one of bottles noisily opened itself during one of the readings we were all in stitches.
Sam and Fotini had prepared a gorgeous flower strewn wedding table for our arrival at the beach taverna in Mongonissi. After a generous wedding breakfast we had our “first swim” in the stunning bay and the kids could all let off steam!
In the evening the Roxy brothers in Loggos looked after us on their roof terrace as we watched the world go by in the harbour.
Thank you Sam and Stu for everything you did for us. Our guests were full of praise for everything from the accommodation advice to the pebble name places, flowers, gorgeous canapés and of course the wonderful island itself. We are so grateful that Sam and Stu were at the same time both organised but very relaxed, friendly and well connected with people on the island. Sensitive to our needs and non-intrusive at the same time, diplomatic and able to adapt to our needs with no fuss, it meant that we were able to enjoy a wonderful time without the stress.
We hope to return with our boys (and by the sounds of it our family and friends!) in the near future.

When Bryan and I first decided to get married in Greece we looked at many islands before a colleague mentioned he had honeymooned in Paxos. As soon as we began researching the island everything clicked into place and it felt instinctively right. We booked a visit to explore different options available for a wedding and scheduled consultations with wedding planners towards the end of the trip. What we found was pretty much every potential venue we looked at from restaurants to villas the proprietors recommended we use Sam and Stu as our wedding planners, by the time we met them it was a done deal! In fact we cancelled the other wedding planner meetings. Their local knowledge and contacts were instrumental is making our day so special as was Sam’s advice in terms of what would and would not work. It really was like having a second brain and we could not have done it without her.

The musicians and dancers exceeded our expectations as did our stunning flowers and table centrepieces. Everyone was so friendly and committed to making sure our day was memorable. Glyfada Beach Villas was perfect for our guests as everyone could stay within very close proximity of each other whilst maintaining their own personal space. Every single one of our guests are planning a return trip with many people saying it was the best holiday they have ever had. As for us we have already booked a return trip for our first wedding anniversary!

I really cannot recommend Paxos Weddings, Glyfada Beach Villas and Paxos enough!

01st June, 2012

We decided immediately after our engagement that Greece was where we wanted to get married, mainly for the beautiful scenery and gorgeous food, but also for us to be able to have an idyllic holiday as part of our wedding celebrations. After a lot of searching we came across Paxos and knew straight away it was perfect for us. We wanted somewhere relaxed, traditional and unspoilt and Paxos ticked all the boxes and more. After contacting Sam and Stu it became apparent we’d made the right decision, they really took the time to get to know us and the type of day we wanted to have which was so important in helping us decide on the location. We wanted a civil ceremony which can only take place in the town hall in Gaios, and so Sam suggested we just do the paperwork there with our family and then have the ceremony later which we did. This allowed us to have a friend officiate which felt right rather than have someone who didn’t know us at all. We decided on Bens Bar at Monodendri beach for the reading and reception which couldn’t have been better. We weren’t able to make it over to Paxos before the wedding and so completely put our trust in Sam and Stu which we are more than happy to say was the best decision we could have made! Bens Bar was a fantastic location, absolutely stunning with the best hosts ever, Ben and his mum Effy were so obliging and the food was amazing, all local, much of it being from their own garden. Sam and Stu have a great philosophy in letting you decide what you want for your own wedding, rather than offering a package deal. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their contacts on the island helped us have the best day ever.

We were lucky enough to have 30 friends and family join us for the wedding, all of whom loved Paxos and embraced the island life, including the Harbour Lights bar in Lakka which became our resident local while there! We’re all already talking about a Paxos reunion. Thanks so much Sam and Stu for making our special day even more special and for taking all the stress out of it so that we could really enjoy our time out there with each other and with our family and friends. We highly recommend Paxos Weddings and hope to see you again as we will definitely be back.
Lots of love Aisha & Gillon xxx

Olly and Olga, UK

18th May, 2012

Having been taken to Paxos by my parents as a small child it has always provided a benchmark to measure holiday destinations against, so it was my first suggestion when Olga and I were thinking of a place to get married.

We took a fact finding holiday last September to determine whether it had retained its unspoilt charm in the 23 years since I’d last been there, which it passed with flying colours. Happily Olga fell in love with it too. We’d found Paxos Weddings online before coming over, and in between enjoying the island we were shown some different ideas for the day.

Over the winter Sam and Stu took care of all the organising and left the decisions to us. Their contacts around the island are excellent and they are obviously popular guys (as you’ll see if you spend any time with them on Paxos - it’s hard to hold a conversation without getting interrupted by people saying hi), and this is a big advantage as they always seemed able to call a favour in if necessary.

May came around and we spent a fantastic holiday with friends and family, before our wonderful wedding day. We were married in the civil hall on the harbour in Gaios, took a boat trip to the south of the island, then reconvened in the evening at our villa for a great dinner and a terrific party. Despite a few damp days in the preceding week we had perfect weather, and everything went without a hitch. What a day.

Without Sam and Stu our wedding would not have been possible, and I can heartily recommend both their service, and getting hitched on Paxos. It is a beautiful place with welcoming people and your family and pals will thank you for introducing it to them (ours have).

We will be back!

16th September, 2011

We took a real leap of faith in deciding to get married on Paxos, having never visited the island or Greece, and we are so glad that we did! Our wedding day was perfect - a truly magical experience and it would not have been possible without Sam and Stuart’s help.

Any concerns that we had about departing from the traditional UK wedding were allayed after our first conversation with Sam, who painted a wonderful picture of getting married on the island. The most fantastic thing about Paxos Weddings is that they are not selling ‘package weddings’. From the moment we started planning our big day with Sam and Stuart, they worked with us to ensure that every aspect of the day was as we pictured it and that the whole day was bespoke to us. Despite the distance, the whole experience felt incredibly personal and we were able to make sound choices with Sam’s guidance.

Our wedding day began with a Sentimental Ceremony at the Sterna in Fontana, which was stunningly decorated by Spiro Taxidi. The setting of the Sterna was idyllic, perched within olive groves, and really encapsulated the feel of a Greek wedding. We then travelled to Gaios Town Hall for the legal ceremony, which was followed by a boat trip around the island for us and our guests. Our wedding reception was held in the evening at Ben’s Bar on Monodendri Beach overlooking the sea. Arriving by boat as the sun was setting was one of our favourite parts of the day and gave us the perfect opportunity to enjoy a quiet moment as husband and wife. The venue was beautifully decorated by Chris and Mike, who also arranged gorgeous flowers for the day, and the food prepared by Ben and Effy was magnificent.

Sam and Stuart worked so hard to ensure that our big day ran smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble for them - even our decision to change the location of the Sentimental Ceremony when we arrived on the island - and they were on hand not only throughout the day itself but throughout the duration of our stay on the island.

On reflection, there is nothing that we would change about our wedding day. We have such happy memories about the day. It was truly unique and perhaps the greatest compliment of all is that all of our guests said that it was the best wedding they had been to! We would have no hesitation in recommending Sam and Stuart to anyone who is thinking of getting married on Paxos.

Thank you so much Sam and Stuart for all of your help.

All our love, Richard and Claire xx

Sam really took the stress off us in what was a very hands-on, home-made wedding.

Nothing was too much trouble and everything she suggested turned out to be the thing that really saved us when it came down to it (like cool drinking water in the wedding olive grove on a 32 degree day!). When she wasn’t saving our guests from dehydration she was making sure every element came together beautifully. To say ‘we couldn’t have done it without her’ would be a gross understatement! ‘

From start to finish Sam and Stu helped make our wedding in Paxos absolutely magical! From the first phone calls 9 months prior we new we had the best support we could ask for. They took a personal interest in our requests and made sure that everything was perfect, turning customer service into TLC over email, skype and in person from the moment we got off the ferry.

Because we had never been to Paxos and live so far away in California a lot could have gone wrong but Sam and Stu made sure there was not one detail left undone! We put a lot of trust in them and they exceeded our expectations as our wedding was truly a day that all in attendance will never forget.

We highly recommend Sam and Stu, they will make sure your wedding is everything you’ve dreamed of and more!

Being based in the UK and a few years since we last visited Paxos we placed our trust in Sam and Stuart to ensure all would be taken care of, they didn’t let us down. Their approach was the perfect mix of professionalism with a personal and friendly touch. Sam and Stuart helped us make all our dreams of a perfect day turn into reality. From organising our amazing villa to our ceremony on the boat. Before we even got engaged, we had already decided that we would always get married abroad as we wanted a relaxed wedding with little stress. But the next task was to find a place that could accommodate what we wanted. We were fortunate enough to do a half day trip to Paxos 6 years previously and had always loved and talked about the place, so looked into the island as an option. When we came across Paxos Weddings, we were immediately hooked on the service they offered.

The ‘mix & match/bespoke’ service they promote is so true. Sam & Stu are a couple with a real love and passion for an island with so much natural beauty. From the first time we made contact to the time we had to leave the island, we could not have felt more confident that everything was being done. The wedding itself was a real treat, and such a memorable, enjoyable and personal day. The venues were amazing, the food by Spyro was so tasty and their local contacts ensure we got exactly what we wanted.

We will forever be indebted to both of them for their organisation and hard work, and we feel now we have gained a number of new friends from our time on the Island. We are already looking forward to our return trip. Thank you so much.

All our love, David & Helen Sia

We met Sam and Stuart when on holiday on the stunning island of Paxos. We had wanted to get married somewhere different and Sam & Stuart were the reason why we chose the island.
They are very well organised, reliable and understand what you want from your day. Having lived on the island for many years they have the contacts to meet all your wishes and dreams for the perfect wedding. They organised everything from contacts for obtaining the marriage licence to arranging accommodation for our guests; wonderful flowers to fantastic food and entertainment.
We and our friends & family had a wonderful day that exceeded al our expectations and we are so glad that we chose this wonderful island with its amazing people.

We took our first holiday as a couple to Paxos, and as we fell in love with each other, we fell in love with the island. That week, we bumped into a couple who said they’d been visiting for over 20 years… We thought that was a daft idea given there’s a whole world out there, but when it came time to leave we knew it was special, and a couple of years later, having tried to find somewhere that matched up, we knew there was nowhere else on earth we wanted to wed.

We booked our second trip to the island last year, and having found Sam and Stuart on the web, we met up with them on an unseasonably cold, wet day in September, hoping we’d made the right decision… But indeed we had!

We were married on 8th July 2011 at the beautiful Villa Mouzmouli, an ideal location suggested by Sam for it’s luxury and it’s spectacular views, which was perfect for our informal wedding with pool party and BBQ. Stuart arranged all the transfers and accommodation for our 36 guests. I’m only surprised he didn’t turn grey overnight, as I’m sure we weren’t the easiest group he’s handled. We think the relaxed Greek outlook has rubbed off on him!

The challenges we gave to Sam were all met, with our expectations exceeded - from the unforgettable Stag boat trip and the beauty treatments at the Hen pool party, to the Greek dancing by Sandra & Babis at Taka Taka restaurant. Sam even made it possible for our own musician from the UK to perform at the ceremony! Oh, and not forgetting arranging with the lovely Spiros at Carnayo restaurant for my friend Netty to take over his kitchen and make our wedding cake!

Many of our guests will be returning to the island now, as they loved the introduction you gave them to this paradise. All we can say is a big ‘thank you’ for an amazing wedding, and we can’t wait to see you guys as friends over the years to come.

I had always dreamed of getting married on Paxos, it has been a home from home for as long as I can remember. My Dad’s side of the family live on Corfu/Paxos so I had visited the island regularly while I was growing up to visit my Grandmother and other close family. More recently my parents emigrated to Paxos and I have been spending more time there and exploring the stunning island. I really couldn’t think of anywhere more idyllic to tie the knot. Luckily Dan instantly fell in love with Paxos when I took him there for the first time in 2007, so when he proposed in 2009 there was only one place we could think of that would be the perfect setting for our wedding – the beautiful island of Paxos! Not wanting to worry any of my family with the wedding preparations, we decided to ask Sam and Stu to help us organise our big day. What started out as us asking them for a helping hand here and there, soon turned out to be asking them to take care of the whole event and we wouldn’t have changed that for the world. They did an excellent job, their knowledge, experience and contacts were invaluable and they always made us feel as though we were in safe hands, which is obviously very important when the biggest day of your life is at stake. We got everything we asked for and more, the dolphins making an appearance during the champagne reception at Roxy Bar was definitely an unexpected treat! We had our reception at Ben’s Bar which was truly magical and Ben was brilliant, he made everything we asked possible including fireworks on the beach! Not only did we have the perfect day but all of our guests agreed that it was the perfect wedding and that they all had a wonderful day also. I have a feeling most of them will be returning to Paxos in the near future!

Gary and Gosia, Switzerland

10th June, 2011

It was always our dream to marry on a Greek island, but which one as there are so many beautiful ones to choose from? Oh and how do you go about getting this organized; not exactly a frequent experience for a Brit, marrying a Polish girl and living in Switzerland? I had a brain wave to ask my Greek colleague in Athens. Where would Greek people recommend to get married? Paxi (Paxos) was right up at the top of the list. I did know of the island as in my single days I went to Corfu and took a boat trip to Paxos. Although we did not set foot on the island, I remember the clear, turquoise waters, perfect bays and vowed to return to one day. A quick Google ‘Weddings + Paxos’, and up comes the Paxos Weddings site owned by Sam and Stu, a British couple who live there and plan weddings. Fate lends a hand.

We made contact and we looked at dates. June 10th (the only available date) worked for a small group of our closest family and friends, so we had just 6 months to plan and hold our dream wedding. In this unchartered situation, we put complete trust in Sam to guide us through. Right from the outset, we got clear guidance on a range of options for venues, catering, flowers, transport, music and accommodation and of course the formalities. We were not put under any pressure to choose and had flexibility to change things where possible right until the last minute. We found Sam really approachable, well organized and followed through on our requests every time. Importantly, the admin and translations seemed a little daunting but she put us in contact with a service that can do all this for you, this was a great help.

Our friends and family all arrived for a 3 day wedding celebration: Day 1 meeting and greeting, day 2 the wedding and day 3 we called the aftermath!. If you can arrange this, a pre dinner for all at the Erimitis bar, overlooking the West Coast cliffs at sunset is a one in a life time experience. This and a few shots of Polish vodka really got people together and ready for the big day. As everyone stayed at the Paxos Beach Hotel in Gaios, the boys walked into town on the wedding day and the girls were picked up by a little boat and taken to a beautiful little town hall on the harbour front. The Mayor turned up on his bicycle and performed a brief ceremony. We were serenaded onto the boat by guitars and a singer to be greeted by the Love Boat theme and a trip around the island and then to our reception at Mongonissi taverna. We anchored the boat in a beautiful little bay overlooked by a church and said our personal vows with not a dry eye in the house (or boat).

There is hardly a more idyllic setting for a wedding than the Mongonissi taverna. This is the only place in an oasis of calm, blue, clear water and has its own soft sand beach and the family owners could not do enough to make it your day. Do not expect a typical English wedding where everything is timed and formal, this is just so relaxed and flexible to your needs. As the trio played and sang a mix of smooth ballads, we took in the amazing scene, ate typical Greek food including the tastiest lamb on a spit. After lunch (and I cannot ever recall this at any other wedding), everyone just got into their bathing costumes and began swimming, playing and sun bathing on the beach culminating in the pyramid of men routine!

Throughout the day, Sam and Stuart were on hand to make sure everything went smoothly and it went to perfection. They left us to it after the Greek dancing and the party went on into the early hours. There was never a moment when people were not dancing to Abba and the rest. I am pleased but not surprised to tell you that our group now holds the record for number of drinks drank at a wedding at the taverna!

So, this is our story and reflection of one of the best days in our life. Most of our friends were grieving at having to go home and we will come back next year. We cannot thank Sam and Stu enough for the support they gave us and highly recommend any people who are thinking about it to just take the plunge and go for it. It will be unforgettable.

We instantly knew that we wanted to get married in Greece but we wanted an island close to Albania so Angjelo’s family could easily attend. Paxos Weddings was found when searching the web. It sounded and looked like what we wanted- a beautiful unspoilt island and a wedding that we could make our own. Emailing Sam and Stu we arranged to meet during a holiday. They gave us a list of possible venues to visit. We decided on the venue and ... then the planning began. Sam was wonderful - booking and arranging things that we hadn’t even thought about. We booked out Christos apartments for my family and had a week long wedding party before the big day!

Our guests met in Gaios harbour and were then taken by boat to the wedding venue. My Dad and I arrived on a smaller boat with Stu as the Captain! From the boat we were met by the band and serenaded. We were married on Mongonissi beach and had the reception there as well. Theo and his staff at Mongonissi taverna were amazing. The food was fantastic - we had lamb on the spit and fresh fish and then… the Greek dancing began! We loved every single minute of our wedding day and wouldn’t change a thing ... well we wouldn’t say no to doing it all over again!

Sam and Stu are fantastic people and Paxos is a gem!

Our day wouldn’t have been possible without them both!

Lots of Love, Angjelo & Hannah xx

We got married in Paxos in May 2011 after going over to see the island and meet with Sam and Stuart the year before.

Paxos is exceptionally beautiful; it ticked every box for us. Unlike some Greek islands it has maintained a very traditional feel, even though it offers amazingly luxurious villas. The countryside is lush and green, the sea crystal clear and the villages are not over developed and ooze charm and character. The locals are very friendly and were very interested in your wedding plans.

Sam and Stuart were superb they made the organisation process smooth and came up with great suggestions, as well as accommodating any requests. Once we were there they took time to meet with us and arrange any loose ends left. The wedding day was truly amazing better than we could have hoped or imagined. Any slight difficulties were taken care of without the need to involve us, meaning there was literally no stress. Good planning meant that it was all smooth and relaxed. I was so calm I even sunbathed by the pool on the morning before we got married and I am not a relaxed person! Our family and friends all thought they had the best accommodation and they were all staying somewhere different, so most places are great. 75% of our guests told us that, apart from their own wedding, it was the best wedding they have ever been to, so it seems it was not just us that had fun. Sam and Stuart are lovely people too, which makes doing this with them so much nicer and we hope that we can stay in touch.

Thank you again for organising the most special day of our lives we will never forget it or you.

Love Katherine and Paul xxxx

We had the most amazing day and we really can’t thank you enough for making it all so effortless. From the first time we spoke to the day we left the island it all felt so personal and special. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We got exactly what we wanted. I’m missing Paxos already and can’t wait to come back and hopefully see you again. Thanks again.

When we decided to get married in Greece, we didn’t know where to start. There are many large wedding companies offering services on a large number of the Greek Islands. However, none seemed to offer a personal touch, and we didn’t want to be ‘just another wedding.’ Luckily we stumbled upon Sam and Stuart and getting their help was the best thing we could have done.

From the first contact email over a year ago until we said our goodbyes on Paxos, they have been thorough, professional, friendly and courteous, and we can’t thank them enough for making the whole experience such a pleasure. As for the day itself…the food and drink was delicious, the setting was beautiful and the music was perfect. Sam and Stuart’s local contacts all do a wonderful job of making the day an authentic Greek experience, and they are all so warm and welcoming. We couldn’t recommend Sam and Stuart highly enough, and we will forever be indebted to them for helping us make our dream wedding a reality.

Thanks again guys! Love Liam and Jen

What an unbelievably fantastic, magical and special day. Thanks Sam and Stuart for all the hard work and the professional approach that made our wedding day so beautiful. You were such hard workers, and, we felt completely at ease with everything you did.
Thanks also for understanding our desire for the day to be spontaneous and fun, you didn’t disappoint. The evening at Tomas’s Taverna was brilliant, very Greek, very honest and utterly magical.

Thanks again, look forward to seeing you all soon.

We were looking for the perfect Greek Island on which to get married, somewhere that had all the charm and beauty without being spoiled by the hordes or tourists. Paxos fitted the bill and we were so lucky to find out that Sam and Stuart of Paxos Weddings are the local wedding planners.

With nine months to plan the summer wedding we had regular phone and email contact with both Sam and Stuart for every single aspect of the wedding which made it the most stress free experience.

We decided on an early July wedding with around 60 guests with many people making this a summer holiday based around the wedding day. In this way we were able to arrange pre-wedding celebrations for our guests to meet. This included a BBQ at our villa and a cocktail reception at the stunning sunset spot of Erimitis Bar. On another day we also had a large number of people hire boats and make a day trip of Anti Paxos which has the most stunning azure water around.

We had a civil wedding so that involved signing our paperwork at the local townhall on Friday with our families then we had our main reception on the Saturday.

Saturday started in the early evening when the heat of the day was not as intense. A civil reading was held on the waterfront at Loggos and being serenaded along the waterfront by local musicians to the decorated jetty was a magical experience.

Our guests were then taken by boat to our reception at Monodendri Beach Bar where Sam had worked with the local florists (Mike and Chris) to create the gorgeous candlelit outside atmosphere that I had requested. Ben, the owner of the bar also went out of his way to make sure a good time was had by all which was evident when most guests returned to the beach bar the day after for recovery!

From the first dealings we had with Paxos Weddings everything was hassle free and perfectly planned. Stuart also runs Paxos Concierge Services that guests used for arranging accommodation, flights or any other requests which they loved and described the whole experience as seamless

I can’t recommend Paxos Weddings enough for creating such a perfect time for ourselves and our family and friends who are still raving about the wedding and the beauty of Paxos. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Sam and Stuart and looking forward to seeing you soon!

When we first decided to get married, we already had a list of ideals in our heads that we both wanted to achieve. We knew beyond all things that we didn’t want any of our friends and family to be there…we spend enough time with those guys and they weren’t invited. We knew that we wanted to be on a quiet island, somewhere in the World that had good weather, friendly people, turquoise sea and relative seclusion. We knew that we wanted to be as free to come and go as we pleased, whilst feeling that we were in complete safety. The main thing that we knew though, was that we did not have the first idea how we could make our dreams, our reality.

After much hot air dodging from our respective families and a raft of general appeasement that preceded, my Sister suggested that there would be no better place in the world than Paxos… She had been there the year before and thought it to be the greatest find.

We soon started looking at the Island and from the pictures on the internet, we knew that we would concur with my sister’s opinion, so we set our sights firmly on the Island and tried to find the relevant information.

We got in touch with Sam and Stuart and told them what it was that we wanted to do. They very swiftly opened up dialogue with us and were organised and unflappable in any and all situations that we asked of them…. My tendency is to always look for what will go wrong before it happens and my continually spiralling thoughts were just in free falling tatters, of things like; the house will be unfinished and on a building site, or We won’t get the date that we want at the Town Hall and we have paid for the holiday, or Sam and Stuart don’t exist and it is all an elaborate ploy to empty bank accounts set up by Somali Pirates ....and so on. Stuart and Sam however, had EVERY aspect of the event more than covered.

Our stay in Paxos was beyond measure. Perfection in every way…from the accommodation to the fantastic people to the wedding and more besides. If you have not been to Paxos, then there can not be a more beautiful and welcoming place anywhere on Earth all surrounded by the most vividly beautiful blue Sea and providing front row tickets for the most spectacular Sunset Bar.
Much more besides though, is that there are very few people that I would recommend to anyone to be able to put all of your trust and dreams in the hands of, but without doubt, Sam and Stuart are.

We had no plans to marry in Paxos.

If anything, we had a hazy idea of a winter wedding (we both ski) with Huskies sledges and lots of fun in the snow.

On the down side the temperature could be minus 20 / 30 degrees and some of the family may not have taken kindly to those prevailing conditions. Idly ‘Googling’ around we came upon Paxos (a tiny island, approximately seven miles long by three miles wide, with over 30 white pebbly beaches and crystal clear blue sea) and wedding co-ordinators Sam and Stu.

It was a possibility!

Several e-mails later we had booked a holiday in Paxos and had planned to meet up with Sam and Stu.

From the moment we arrived we knew Paxos was for us, and in meeting Sam and Stu for the first time we just knew our wedding would be in Paxos. We both liked Sam and Stu instantly, their warmth, their friendliness and obvious love of the island and its people.

They gave us lots of ideas of where to have the reception, from a quiet romantic spot on a sandy beach to a full blown reception for many guests in one of the many excellent eating haunts around the island. By the time our holiday was over and we were leaving Paxos we could not imagine getting married anywhere else.

A year later, with family and friends in tow we were married by the Mayor of Paxos in the lovely town of Gaios.

Our personal vows were said in another ceremony on a decorated boat, celebrated with champagne and canapés in a secluded romantic inlet to the south of Paxos. A beautiful white church high up on the hillside formed a perfect backdrop.

Following the celebrations on the boat was the wedding meal on Mongonissi beach, each course being interleaved with a swim or a dance with Greek music provided by Spiro and friends. Spiro derives a special mention as he has stories to tell - no - you will have to find out for yourselves by taking the plunge in your own special way and marrying in Paxos.

Thank you so much Sam and Stu for making this amazing day happen - we will treasure the memories always - and have already booked to come to Paxos next year. Where else could we possibly celebrate our first wedding anniversary?

We had the best time ever getting married in Paxos at the end June 2009! We can recommend Paxos Weddings to anyone, no matter what kind of wedding you want, big or small, they will fix your day in the most professional and beautiful way.

The journey started with us contacting Paxos Weddings online at their nice homepage. And after a good first contact, we decided to use Sam and Stuart as our wedding planners. We were getting married, with 6 of our best friends present. Nobody knew about the wedding, including our friends, so there was allot of challenges for Sam and Stuart on how to make this happen.

We arrived in a sailboat on Saturday evening from Corfu, and Sam had arranged a table for us at this beautiful restaurant by the water so we could anchor our boat there. Here we told the news to our friends and we all met with Sam and Stuart. After dinner the girls went to a hotel and the boys to the sailboat for a bachelor/bachelorette party. The next morning the girls and the bride got dressed, a photographer came, and Stuart took us by boat to the most beautiful beach on the whole island where our ceremony would be. Sam had arranged everything with the location, tent, food, flowers, and champagne. And everybody cried all the time with happiness.

After the ceremony Sam had booked us a nice private gazebo, that we had all day and night for ourselves, at yet another gorgeous restaurant by the water at the other side of the island. The restaurant was Italian and the food was marvellous, the host fun and giving and we had the best wedding dinner you can imagine.

The whole day was just a fairytale from start to end, and thanks to Paxos Weddings we did not have to think of anything, because everything was arranged to perfection.

So we will treasure our wedding day in Paxos, Greece and our time there, and Sam and Stuart will always have a special place in out heart for making our day the most beautiful and memorable day of our lives.

Thank you Sam and Stuart

‘from the moment we set foot on Paxos to see if this is the place we wanted to get married we were enchanted, in fact whilst we were still on the water pulling into the town square would be a more accurate description! Sam and Stu met us on our exploratory trip, organizing accommodation for us and showing us around the island which they are so passionate about. We could instantly see this would be the perfect setting for the wedding we were dreaming of.

Over the next year and a half Sam and Stu were in regular contact organising the specifics of the day and helping with any questions or queries, nothing was ever too much trouble. We met in England a couple of times to discuss details and Sam and Stu were always such a pleasure to be with - I really felt reassured that everything was in safe hands. We were guided through the requirements of the paperwork for the marriage and helped all along the way until we finally arrived on Paxos with a warm greeting from Sam and Stu.

The week leading up to the wedding was fun and exciting with Sam taking us around the island for last minute decisions and details to be arranged and discussed - it was perfect.

The big day was like a dream come true, there was not a single thing we would change about it, our only regret is that we will only get to do it once!! We are planning a 10 year anniversary reunion for everyone as Paxos now holds a special place in our hearts and in our guests hearts too.

Sam and Stu were there throughout the day managing everything and making sure it all went off without a hitch. The local contacts that they have built up added greatly to the day and it wouldn’t have been possible without them. We are not able to thank them enough for helping us to organise our dream wedding.

And as for Paxos as a wedding destination, as my dad said in his speech ‘we didn’t know where they would get married but we knew it wouldn’t be in England and we think you will all agree they couldn’t have chosen a more fantastic setting’.

We really wanted an intimate wedding abroad, but not too far from the UK. Every company we looked at was incredibly structured and couldn’t offer us our perfect day. We then found Paxos Weddings and it all changed….................. The island is perfect and they couldn’t do enough for us, even meeting us in the UK to go over our options. Our dream was for intimate, romantic, elegant and chilled. It was everything and more. We had been led to believe that weddings were stressful, Paxos Weddings completely shattered that myth. Stuart and Sam read our wishes perfectly and when the weather forced us to change plans on the day, Plan B was even more perfect than we could have hoped for. Thank you so much for making our dream come true and for becoming great friends, can’t wait to see you on Paxos for our 1st Wedding Anniversary.

Thank you so much. Harriet, Steve and Lotty

James and I would like to say a big ‘Thank you’ for helping us organise our wedding in Greece. It is so difficult when you are looking at getting married abroad, all the paperwork and organisation of everything makes you think it would be one big headache, but you guys just make everything so much easier and with your special touches it was just magic…

We had the best day of our lives and we couldn’t have done it without you. We will definately be seeing you again on Paxos as it is such a special place to us.

We got married on Paxos this summer. Although Nadia, my wife, is Greek she doesn’t have any particular links with the island but she fell in love with it while on holiday there and knew immediately that when the time came it would be this magical place where she would want to get married. Paxos is quite simply the most stunning island with its cool olive trees, beautiful clear waters and amazing beaches. We got engaged last summer and went together to visit the island and I too loved the place. Actually arranging a wedding there for over 200 people, however, seemed a too daunting prospect given the fact we are both based in the UK with busy jobs. It was at that point we found Sami and Stu, the delightful English couple, who are based on the island the whole year round and run “Paxos Weddings”. From the onset they were as helpful and accommodating as you could hope for. They know the island extremely well and have made every effort to integrate themselves into the local way of life. Because of this they have built up a large network of local contacts covering everything you could possibly need for a wedding from caterers to musicians, florists, photographers and even the local doughnut man. All of them regard Sami and Stu with great esteem and warmth and it is these personal relationships that made our wedding run so smoothly and feel so personal.

As well as providing us with regular updates throughout the year and coming up with a whole range of excellent suggestions regarding the wedding and the days leading up to it, Sami and Stu were of enormous help in helping our guests find accommodation, flights and transfers. They were able to take all the pressure off us and allow us to have a lovely relaxing time in the build up to the big day. Everyone we spoke to had nothing but excellent things to say about them and we can truly say that we could not have done it without them and they come with our upmost recommendation. They remained calm, relaxed and impeccably organised throughout and never without a smile. As well as giving us the best week of our lives we feel we have made great friends and look forward to going back and seeing them on beautiful Paxos time and time again.

We initially found Paxos Weddings website many months before our wedding. From the first email and telephone conversations, they took all the legal matters in to hand in Paxos and explained thoroughly what we had to do in London, they were always friendly and professional and willing to help with any queries and requests.

Once we arrived in Paxos we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming bottle of wine, both completely unexpected but both much appreciated. Sam’s organisational skills were fantastic, flowers, photographer, hairdresser and transport where all organised beforehand so we both could enjoy our few days before the wedding.

As for the location for our wedding and reception, having Sam and Stu’s local knowledge, meant that we could choose from lots of idyllic locations that we ourselves would not have known about even though we had been to Paxos before. Which really did make a difference to our big day.

Sam also is a great beautician, so that too was another aspect catered for. We both feel that Sam and Stu provided a very personalised service and no detail was too small.

Both Sam and Stu made our wedding perfect.

We would recommend using Sam and Stu at Paxos Weddings for your wedding in Greece. They really did a fantastic job and our wedding day was so amazing we will remember it forever. From Sam going to Corfu to pick my beautiful wedding favours for me, to Stu “lending” us his convertable nothing is too much bother for these two. It was my dream to get married on the idyllic island of Paxos and I can honestly say Sam and Stu made my dream come true. Sam looked after my hair, makeup, flowers, arranging guests, paperwork etc so we were able to just enjoy our big day. We can’t thank them enough.

Kirk and I can honestly say that our wedding day in Paxos was the best day of our lives. Paxos is magical and the perfect setting for a wedding. Not many people can say that they were able to relax on their wedding day due to the stresses of organising such a big and important day. Sam ensured the day went very smoothly and we felt confident enough to leave everything in her capable hands which allowed us to enjoy our special day completely stress free. Sam also regularly updated us in the lead up to the wedding and when we arrived there was nothing for us to do but sit back and enjoy ourselves! Our only wish is that we could do it all over again!

I highly recommend asking Stuart and Sam to organise your wedding day for you as they will definitely ensure that you have the best day of your lives!

Sam and Stuart are lovely people too, which makes doing this with them so much nicer and we hope that we can stay in touch.

Thank you again for organising the most special day of our lives we will never forget it or you.

The food was also delicious. We would highly recommend both Paxos and Sam and Stuart.
